iO Partners facilitates Microsoft’s office consolidation, securing €8.5M in savings

Technology giant Microsoft faced a complex challenge with three separate office spaces, one of which lacked metro station access and adequate parking spots. Complicating the situation further, each location had a separate lease with its own expiry date and break options. To help resolve this issue and find a consolidated office space, the company appointed iO Partners. 

Drawing on years of experience and expertise, iO Partners initiated lease negotiations. Recognising the intricacy of managing three distinct properties, the team meticulously coordinated their efforts to ensure efficiency and effectiveness throughout the negotiation process. 

Results

In a matter of 24 months, iO Partners successfully secured Microsoft a unified office building, bringing together the previously separated offices. In addition to this, the team also facilitated the extension of the existing leases for approximately two years, ensuring a seamless transition period before the relocation. This project resulted in significant savings and incentives for Microsoft, totalling an estimated 8.5 million euros.
